Over 30 year’s diverse experience in on-land and offshore drilling / work over operations in different fields of  Middle East  & in Indian subcontinent operated by the national oil company – Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).
Currently working as Approved Instructor from IWCF/IADC at FACLON MULTI SERVIES LTD, MUMBAI, INDIA since 2 years
Currently, since last 6 years, working as Drilling Supervisor on Drilling Rig BWD 128 ( carrying out drilling operations in different fields)  & as work over Supervisor on rig BWD 107D ( carrying out work over operations of Intact wells in Burgan oil field ( H2S area) & ESP wells of UG /Magwa (subnormal pressure) oil fields. Currently associated with drilling high tech horizontal wells in Reputed Company
Prior to this, working as Drilling Superintendent of two independent leg jack up rigs carrying out Development Drilling & Work over operations operating off the west coast of India under day rate contracts.
For a short period , I was associated as Rig Manager with Shiv Vani in Oman & with Weatherford as Drilling/Workover Supervisor in Algeria .
Experienced in well construction, operations in deep HP-HT environment (deepest well drilled 5957m ie.19539 ft). Also Experienced in Under balance drilling in Algeria .
Experienced in drilling ERD and horizontal wells, multilateral development wells and development wells by sidetracking of old wells.
Worked for long 5 years, as a faculty member in in-house Training Division of Institute of Drilling technology (IDT), Dehradun.   • Exposure to H2S gas drilling: The formation Tayarat at 3850’ to 5000’ is H2S prone which is covered by 13 3/8” csg after drilling 16” hole with 9.1 ppg mud. Many times, experienced H2S gas of 20 ppm at surface during drilling and circulated through choke & gas buster till the H2s out ( gas should be flared ) and increase mud wt to 9.3 ppg

4. SR. SUBSEA ENGINEER 1998 – May 2003

Worked as  Subsea in charge on the rig Sagar Vijay. I was part of the team when ONGC ventured into deep water drilling for the first time under management contract with M/s Sedco Forex. Drilled 6 deepwater wells ranging from 400m to 890m during the period.

Worked as fully independent Subsea in charge after taking over from M/S Sedco Forex. Drillship Sagar Vijay had drilled Five deepwater locations after taking over from M/S Sedco Forex in the water depths ranging from 400m to 850m, struck hydrocarbons in G-4 and G-1 fields. We have drilled successfully in severe weather condition, high pressure/low formation strength, shallow gas etc.

As independent Subsea Incharge was responsible for operation and maintenance of all subsea equipment like BOP, Motion Compensator, Riser Tensioner, High Pressure air Compressors etc. In addition the job involves co-ordination with Rig Superintendent, Tool Pusher in day-to-day operations, maintaining proper records, Ordering of Spares etc. 

Have added experience of stripping, repairing and carry out major field repairs on BOP and related equipments at  Cochin Shipyard, Visakhapatnam and Shaffer workshop in Singapore.

Sagar Vijay is the first ONGC rig to achieve ISRS level–5, closely associated with all departments in preparing Rig specific operation procedures, maintenance schedules, record keeping etc as prescribed in the ISRS and ISM codes.

Sagar Vijay was upgraded from a capacity to drill in 300m water depth to 900 m water depth. This job involved major repair of BOP, complete overhauling and installation of 4 additional Riser Tensioners, complete overhauling of Motion Compensator, extension of existing riser deck to accommodate bigger risers with buoyancy modules, replacement of High Pressure Air Compressors, Accumulator Unit, Air Winches etc. It was a mammoth job accomplished with the help of OEM’s and Original Ship Builders at Cochin Shipyard limited.
